A participatory photography project launched in 2023, destined to become an archive of portraits of the last inhabitants of old Gibellina, photographed at the Grande Cretto site, their original home. Photography and oral history convey the profound connection between the community and Alberto Burri's work, which has become their new symbolic home. On display for Gibellina 2026 is the installation already produced and exhibited at the Frankfurter Kunstverein in 2024, on the occasion of the exhibition The Presence of Absence.
