Diwan – Simposio di arti

Curated by Verein Düsseldorf Palermo e.V. from September 25 to November 28, 2026 Location: Pietro Consagra Meeting Diwan is a symposium of arts and techniques held at two locations in Gibellina, bringing together artists of different generations who are active in the artistic exchange between Düsseldorf and Palermo. Diwan #1 is a residency at the former Church of Gesù, featuring Renata Kolwicz, Michael Kortländer, Adriano La Licata, Alessandro Librio, Genny Petrotta, and Luis Romero. The residency addresses the theme of rubble, both as a physical ruin and as the symbolic result of collective trauma, inviting artists to produce individual and collective works. Diwan #2 involves six young artists—Maria Tindara Azzaro, Tony Lombardo, Giovanni Fortunato Messina, Roberto Orlando, Alberto Orilia, and Margherita Pedrotta—who will engage with their works in the spaces of the Meeting, designed by Pietro Consagra.
