The Elenk’art collection, begun by Nino Galvagno and expanded by his son Francesco starting in the 1990s, is today one of the most significant collections of contemporary Sicilian art. Alongside works by masters such as Giacomo Balla, Renato Guttuso, Fausto Pirandello, Giorgio de Chirico, Alberto Savinio, Carla Accardi, Piero Dorazio, Pietro Consagra, Emilio Vedova, Giovanni Uncini, Sandro Chia, Luigi Ontani, Giulio Paolini, Hidetoshi Nagasawa, Thomas Struth, Pino Pascali, and Bertozzi & Casoni, the distributed exhibition focuses on mid-career Sicilian artists: from the Palermo school (Alessandro Bazan, Francesco De Grandi, Andrea De Marco, Fulvio Di Piazza) to Walter Zanghi, Francesca Polizzi, Francesco Simeti, Manfredi Beninati, Daniele Franzella, Linda Randazzo, and others. The exhibition conveys the image of a form of collecting that is actively rooted in the territory, committed to promoting and supporting new artistic generations.
