Liu Bolin. Macerie
Place: Fondazione Orestiadi – Museo delle Trame Mediterranee, Gibellina
Exhibition Period: October
Chinese artist Liu Bolin, known for his photographic camouflage in which the body blends into the background, will create a project dedicated to the wounds left by the earthquakes in Belìce and L'Aquila. In Gibellina and its surrounding area, Bolin will identify some emblematic views between the new city, the Grande Cretto and the ruins of Poggioreale, before extending his work to L'Aquila, Italy's Capital of Culture for 2026. The project, consisting of a series of photographs and photographic installations, builds an ideal bridge between two cities affected by earthquakes, both committed to rebuilding hope through art.
