Jonida Xherri. Intrecci Mediterranei

Curated by Enzo Fiammetta

Auditorium MAC – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea “Ludovico Corrao”
March 1-15, 2026

Born in Durrës and currently living in Italy, the artist focuses her practice on public integration projects. Her residency in Gibellina, during the year of the Italian Capital of Contemporary Art, resulted in a large participatory loom created with young people from Gibellina, migrants, and the Belice community. Words, drawings, and embroidery compose a beehive-like Sicily, a symbol of dialogue, collaborative work, and memory. The work will become the curtain for the Civic Auditorium, a tribute to art in rebirth.
