Cinema and contemporary art

The festival combines cinema, contemporary art and performance art, offering a selection of films and documentaries that explore figures and processes in art. Among the offerings are Alessandra Populin's Conversazioni d'Arte documentaries, dedicated to Jannis Kounellis, Giulio Paolini, Fabio Mauri, Vedovamazzei, Grazia Toderi and others, which give the public a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process. The collective Shaken Grounds – Sismography of Precarious Presences presents At the Edge of Form, a site-specific intervention that combines performance, land art and participatory filming to investigate how seismic events – increasingly intersected with anthropogenic causes – shape imaginations, bodies and landscapes. The project consists of an open set that leaves traces in the territory and a public presentation that combines projection, installation and live action.
