Legami invisibili

Curated by Federica Fruttero

The project involves Suzy Lelièvre (sculptor, France), Mathieu Oui (photographer, France) and Mila Sarti (performer and choreographer, Italy), who have been asked to work on the Secret Garden and the layers generated over fifty years of history in the new Gibellina. Lelièvre will create a site-specific installation that connects, contrasts or extracts surfaces and lines from the surrounding environment, revealing its geometric structure; Mathieu Oui will produce sound and photographic portraits of the inhabitants of yesterday and today, investigating the courage of a community in the face of natural disasters; Mila Sarti will invite the public to enter a suspended space/time, where gestures and materials (earth, plaster, soft surfaces) give shape to ephemeral rituals. The project restores the invisible fabric of bonds that unite bodies, places and memories.
