The exhibition, in collaboration with the Outsider Art Observatory, presents the works of two artists whose practice can be classified as Art Brut/Outsider Art: Salvatore Bonura (Sabo), a large collection of whose works is preserved at the Civic Museum of Gibellina, and Giovanni Bosco, a self-taught artist active in Castellammare del Golfo. Bosco, marked by psychiatric internment and marginalisation, has been transforming the facades of houses and walls in neighbouring villages since 2003 with puppets, hearts with large eyes, circles, city names, numbers and song lyrics, using paint, markers and discarded materials. His work, recognised internationally in 2008 by photographer Boris Piot and the Animula Vagula collective, is now part of the Collection de l'Art Brut in Lausanne. The exhibition highlights the poetic and radical power of these works, in which fragility and expressive urgency become a source of imagination.
